2018年5月29日から6月3日までドイツ･フランクフルトで行われた、
日本映画祭「Nippon Connection」

フルートの伊藤むつみさんとのDuoFugaとして、Open-air(屋外)とクロージングセレモニーでの演奏をさせていただきました。
5日間に渡って日本映画の上映や日本食・和ものの出店などが立ち並び、大盛況。まさに”お祭り”という様相で、祭り好きの私は久しぶりにその血が騒ぎました。

日本での著名な監督さまや俳優の方々もいらっしゃっていたのですが、皆様のお人柄に甘え話の輪の中に入れていただき、ビールで乾杯を交わしながらフランクにお話をさせていただきました。

この映画祭のすごいところは、スタッフがほぼボランティアの一般の方々で成り立っているところ。
我々の演奏に関しても、ボランティアスタッフの皆さんが親切かつ真摯に対応してくださり、無事二つの出演を終えることができました。

人との縁。人のあたたかさ。
演奏させていただけたことももちろんですが、この二つを強く感じさせていただけたことが、今回の出演で私が得た一番の恩恵でした。
ここまで書いてきたこともすべてがこの二つへとつながります。
しかしなにより、今まで紡いできた縁によって多くの方が私たちのために集まってくださり、心からの強いエールを実際の言動に代えて私たちに与えてくださっているのを目の当たりにし、深い感動と心からの感謝を覚えました。

「おかげさまで」
日本特有の本当に美しい言葉です。
なにかが少しだけ報われたような、そんな思いを今も噛みしめています。
稀に見る多忙だったこの半月の終わりに、新しくそして貴重な出会いを多く与えてもらえた、素敵な経験ができました。

ドイツ・フランクフルトを中心に活躍されている、二人の日本人演奏家。
ピアニストの犬飼新之介さんと、オーボエ奏者の近藤那々子さん。
私にとって大先輩であるこのお二方と、日本語普及センターの方々のご尽力のもと、室内楽演奏会をご一緒させていただく機会に恵まれました。

オーボエ、ピアノ、チェロ・・・
管・鍵盤・弦と、それぞれがまったく異なった音を奏でる三つの楽器。
それらが組み合わさったバリエーションに富んだプログラムとなり、奏者である私自身も演奏会当日をとても楽しんでいました。

海外での演奏活動を長年続けているお二人。
こちらでの苦労話や、音大での思い出話などに花を咲かせながらのリハーサルは、和気藹々としながらもプロとして勉強させていただくことがたくさんあり、本当に充実したコンサート経験となりました。
せっかくのご縁ということもあり、今後もこのメンバーでの演奏機会を模索しております！

フルートとチェロのデュオDuo Fugaに、日本舞踊を加えた『Trio 風雅』
ドイツでの活動の一つであるこのコラボレーションの、新作披露を行いました。
踊り手である永井佐知子さんは、ドイツ・フランクフルトで他の方とともに日本舞踊のお教室を開いており、今回はその発表会の舞台にてお披露目の機会を作ってくださいました。
この試みのきっかけとなった「春の海」とは違い、今回の新作は既存のクラシック音楽に創作舞踊を合わせたものになります。

ブラジルの作曲家、エイトル・ヴィラ＝ロボス (1887年3月5日 – 1959年11月17日)
20世紀を代表する作曲家の一人であり、クラシックの技法にブラジル独自の音楽を取り込んだ作風で知られています。
彼の作曲した、この『ジェットホイッスル』は、
息を激しく吐き出すことにより発声した息音を使用するという、フルートの特殊奏法(現代奏法)「ジェットホイッスル」を用いた面白い楽曲です。
フルートとチェロのためにかかれたこの作品を聞いた踊り手の方が「八百屋お七」をイメージされ、その物語をモチーフとしたオリジナルの創作舞踊を振付けてくださいました。
